daring

to do

new

We create new spaces.
For people to do new work.

To focus on what really matters.

And provoke a shift in the life of their organizations.

To unlock everyone’s talents.

And augment their capacity for leadership.

We are Architects of Group Genius.

As consultants, we don’t design solutions.

We help individuals and teams find their own way.

Our missions generate impact at two levels:

  • making real progress on critical challenges

  • expanding the capacity to lead for innovation

We operate in the Messy Middle: a space where complex challenges force Critical transitions, where leaps in strategy demand a Culture of innovation, where Developing leadership  calls for a new pedagogy, where Rewiring communities

requires a whole new approach.

True

Labs

That’s where most of our work takes place.
From 25 to 150 people working together in full immersion mode for 3, 4, 5 days.

Exploring different perspectives, reframing complex challenges, co-designing new experiments with a more adventurous mindset.

Before

and

After

We drive the effort. We facilitate the collaborative process. We build the physical, social, conceptual, emotional architectures to hold the work.

A temporary approach, until the end of a cycle.
A permanent structure: if the work grows, so do the people.

Real

Shifts

Bold moves and invisible tweaks. Big bets and subtle changes. A new way of working that invites a wider range of options. Spontaneous ripple effects that trigger unexpected results.

Engaging more than 10,000 people across 400 missions in 40 countries on 6 continents – since 2003.

It’s the rare phenomenon that unfolds when a group is able to create something new and meaningful together.
When everyone works in sync and the outcome feels extraordinary.

The core of our practice is creating the conditions for Group Genius to happen.
Through collaboration, experimentation, individual and collective learning, and conversations that help redefine “what we can create together.”

Group

Genius

Our craft is grounded in years of experience working in close collaboration with world-class practitioners and scholars.
Matt and Gail Taylor, Prof. Linda Hill (Harvard Business School), Prof. Richard Pascale (Stanford University), Prof. Ron Heifetz (Harvard Kennedy School).

Many other scholars and practitioners have shaped our practice and research through their example, their work, their writing.

Everyone has a slice of genius.
This belief shapes the work we do for the organizations we serve, as well as the developmental journey of the members of our teams.

Led by Maurizio Travaglini, our teams combine many different slices of genius – all sorts of talents, experiences and backgrounds.
While our core team is located in our Milan Design Studio, our global team is distributed between Europe and North America.

and

When…

If

…something feels stuck, and a jolt is needed.

…inertia is creeping in, and dynamic energy is missing.

…your organization is in the Messy Middle, or it’s facing a new transition.

…your new CEO is beginning their tenure, or your leadership team needs to find its mojo again.

…your strategy needs evolving, and your structure feels obsolete

…innovation takes too long, and does too little.

Then, let’s meet and play with ideas.
